Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Chappell Roan took the night’s biggest trophies.
Music’s biggest night is finally here. The 2025 Grammys kicked off Sunday, February 2, and as per usual a great deal of awards were announced before the official ceremony with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX, and more taking home early trophies.
This year’s ceremony made a few major headlines; Beyoncé became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album and finally took home Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter; Doechii took home Best Rap Album, the third Black woman to do so in Grammys history; Chappell Roan ultimately triumphed in the very competitive Best New Artist category; while Kendrick Lamar took home five awards for “Not Like Us,” sweeping every category he was nominated for.
