Lana Del Rey has released a new song titled “Henry, Come On.” The track has been teased by Del Rey for many months and arrived overnight. It is due to appear on her new album The Right Person Will Stay, due out on May 21. Scroll down to listen to “Henry, Come On” now.
“Henry, Come On” makes good on Del Rey’s promise to lean into country music with her new music. The plaintive ballad features lyrics about cowgirls, blue jeans, and Houston, Texas. She also throws in a healthy dose of existential dread, too, with lines referencing loneliness and an internal void as she quietly exists a failing relationship. The song was written by Del Rey and Luke Laird. They are also credited as producers alongside Drew Erickson.

Del Rey first touted the idea of a country album early last year when she suggested that her next album (then titled Lasso) would be different to 2023’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country,” she said at the time. “We’re going country. It’s happening,”
Later this month, Del Rey will perform at the Stagecoach music festival. She is scheduled to perform at the California country festival alongside headliner Zach Bryan on April 25. She will follow that appearance with a tour of stadiums in the U.K. this summer.
