1. Drake is ready to be ICEMAN

Drake dropped a new song titled “What Did I Miss?” and, as teased on a livestream filmed in Toronto, is prepping a new project titled ICEMAN. A local business with the same name has been inundated with calls since the stream ended.

2. KATSEYE are going on tour in the fall

3. t.A.T.u.’s Julia Volkova did not apologize for her 2014 “homophobic comments”

At the start of the week an X account claiming to belong to t.A.T.u., the Russian duo responsible for the 2002 hit “All The Things She Said,” released a statement apologizing on behalf of member Julia Volkova for the homophobic comments she made on a TV show in 2014. It turns out that might not have been legit and that the group, who are enjoying a new wave of viral success owing to a Kelly Clarkson cover, made no such comment.

4. Fyre Festival is for sale on eBay

eBay users set your alerts: the ever-controversial Fyre Festival could be yours. The beleaguered brand has been put up for auction by disgraced entrepreneur Billy McFarland after a private sale collapsed. It’s currently sitting at just over $200,000.

5. Akon City has officially been cancelled

It’s sad news for anyone wanting to start over in a new location, a city built in the image of “Smack That” singer Akon has been axed. Most of the land allocated for Akon’s planned $6 billion coastal city has been seized by the government of Senegal, though it will still work with Akon on a “tourism hub.”
