Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ will be sentenced in October after being found guilty on two counts of transportation for engaging in prostitution, Rolling Stone reports.

Combs’ defence team reportedly requested that Judge Arun Subramanian grant their client an expedited hearing process, initially rejecting the proposed date, only to renege on the idea and agree to the judge’s original suggestion of October 3.
Since being arrested in September 2024, Combs has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, without bail.
Combs faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail on the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Rolling Stone reports that his defence team is seeking a sentence between 21 and 27 months while the prosecution have called for between 51 and 63 months imprisonment.
During the federal trial in Lower Manhattan, prosecutors alleged that Diddy was the head of a criminal enterprise who engaged in “kidnapping, arson, drugs, sex crimes, bribery and obstruction” alongside an entourage of bodyguards and other employees.
His charges came a year after his former partner Cassie Ventura filed a civil suit alleging rape and mental abuse across their decade-spanning relationship. The suit was settled a day after it was filed, but it opened the floodgates for dozens of other allegations of similar behaviour from other women.
After delivering the verdict in court last week, Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy’s request to be released on a $1 million bail pending sentencing. Cassie sent a letter to the judge following the verdict requesting that bail be denied, citing fears for her personal safety.
