Roan’s Midwest Princess Project launches with a huge donation to trans youth projects.
Chappell Roan has announced the launch of The Midwest Princess Project, a new nonprofit initiative that will support organizations that provide resources for trans youth and “uplift LGBTQ+ communities through action, care and connection.”
According to a press release announcing the launch, The Midwest Princess Project has already raised over $400,000 through Roan’s recent Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things shows in New York City, Los Angeles, and Kansas City.
“I am so excited to announce The Midwest Princess Project!” Roan said in a statement. “These funds will be donated to incredible organizations making a positive impact for trans youth in their communities.”
$1 from every ticket sold from the Visions of Damsels… tour will be donated to support organizations, including the Ali Forney Center and The LGBT Center in New York, Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles, and The GLO Center and The Center Project in Missouri.
Roan, whose latest single “The Subway” dropped in August, recently claimed that it could take her more than five years to write the follow-up to her breakout album, Chappell Roan The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. She is due to perform at festivals across South America plus Australia and New Zeland in early 2026. Speaking during a recent live performance, she told fans she continues to take to the stage “to bring queer people joy and tell them that it’s OK.”
